Get going with your newly installed Bahnhof fiber
Now there is an even easier way to enable your Bahnhof connection and sign up for a subscription:
- On the Bahnhof homepage search for your address, then our special offers will show up.
- Select one of them, provide your personal information and select your apartment number and the activation date you would like.
- On, or after, that date you only have to turn off your router, connect its cable to the Bahnhof box, start up the router.
- Done!
The "old way" still works ...
It is a three step process, not counting terminating your current subscription.
Note: If you already had a subscription from Bahnhof via Open Universe you need to log in to your account page on Bahnhof and find your username and password amongst your personal details. Maybe set a new password if you don't remember it. You will need this information for step 2 in this process. You will also need to cancel that old subscription. If you don't want to actually use and pay for both :-)
1. Connect your router/computer to the installed Bahnhof box, via a network cable. Restart the router if needed. Probably best to do so anyhow.
2. Active your connection. When surfing anywhere you will automatically end up on a Bahnhof page for activation. Select your apartment number from the list and provide your personal details. When confirmed, wait 5-10 min then restart your router again.
3. Now the Internet connection should be working, and wi-fi if your router has that. The remaining step is to sign up for a subscription. Surf to the Bahnhof homepage and log in to your account page (via BankID). Select the broadband connection and choose which subscription you want out of the three options: 1.000 Mbit/s 299 kr, 1.000 Mbit/s 349 kr, or 10.000 Mbit/s 399 kr. If you choose 10.000 Mbit/s Bahnhof will provide you with a router with wi-fi which can handle that extreme high speed.
